Proud to be Committed to our Community

We are living through truly unprecedented times. COVID-19 has caused immense damage, from millions of people losing their jobs, to essential employees working on the front lines in the face of danger. Here at Hantel Kitchen & Baths, we are committed to doing our part in this crisis not only for our customers but for our employees and the companies that we work with as well. We all need to be doing our part to minimize the lasting effects of this virus, and by standing together, we hope to come out of this quarantine stronger than ever, both as a community and as a nation. If you are currently stuck at home for the quarantine or have some extra time on your hands, now is the perfect time for you to finally get down to designing that bathroom or kitchen remodel. We are still happy to help all of our customers work through design plans and mood boards to make the most of this unprecedented free time.

On a national level, our commitment is to source our products as much as possible to be made in the USA. All of the cabinetry that we install in our customer’s homes is made in the USA, within 500 miles of our showroom. Our most popular and green countertop manufacturer, Cambria, is headquartered and manufactured in Minnesota. Our preferred sink and faucet manufacturer, Kohler, is headquartered and manufactured in Wisconsin. Our preferred toilet manufacturer, Toto, is manufactured in Georgia. Not only does this commitment to American manufacturing provide jobs to Americans it also improves the “green” value of these products by cutting down the greenhouse gases required from manufacturing to installation and shipping.

Our local commitment is twofold.  First, we are committed to being involved in our community, especially in the organizations that affect our company. Our President & Owner, Ed Hantel, is the Continuing Education Chairperson for the Tennessee Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and is also a member of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee. Edward Hantel, Lead Carpenter & Owner, is a member of the Remodeler’s Council, a leader in the local Boy Scouts organization, and is a youth leader and usher at his church. We don’t just service customers in our community, we grew up here, live here, and are thankful for the amazing community that we have.

Second, we are committed to our local environment. We live by the motto of reduce, reuse, and recycle, and we do our best as a business to keep our community and our planet healthy and thriving. All of the products that we remove from a customer’s home that are still in usable shape, but are being replaced, are donated to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is then able to re-sell these products to the community and uses that money to fund the building of new housing for underprivileged members of our community. We recycle all unusable materials whenever possible, especially cardboard and metal, therefore reducing trash in our landfills. We hope that you are all staying safe and healthy in these trying times. We will continue our commitment to the community through donation work, quality local sourcing, and outstanding craftsmanship.
